I’ve completed Level 4, 5 and 6 real estate qualifications alongside my working life. I’m a licensed real estate agent with Barfoot & Thompson.
My qualifications
- Level 4 — Salesperson: working with buyers and sellers and handling property sales.
- Level 5 — Branch Manager: supervising salespeople and managing branch operations.
- Level 6 — Agent: running a real estate business, including planning, financial management and professional responsibilities.
That study builds on practical experience with family homes, investment property and land with resource-consent and planning challenges.
Recent learning: mortgagee sales
I’ve completed New Zealand Law Society continuing education on mortgagee sales—when a lender sells a property to recover mortgage debt. The course explored managing the process, common pitfalls and relevant case law.
It helps me recognise issues early and know when to involve legal or financial specialists.
